THERE has been plenty happening in and around the National League North since the season ended with players and managers coming and going.
While not an exhaustive list of events, here’s a brief look at some of what has gone on:
Last season’s North Champions Salford City parted company with their management team on Tuesday. Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley have left City after being unable to agree a new deal.
"Whilst this is disappointing, it is the right decision," Co-Owner Gary Neville said.
Meanwhile, there has been more managerial change in the North. Southport have replaced Kevin Davies at the helm with Liam Watson who once again picks up the reins at Haig Avenue. Rob Edwards left AFC Telford United at the conclusion of the term, while former FC Halifax Town chief Billy Heath is now in charge at Alfreton Town after Chris Moyses departed.
Rivals
There’s a chance Harriers could face old rivals Hereford in the North next season. The Bulls once again clinched their Step 3 title last season and might take their place in the same division as Harriers – though the exact make-up of the North and South leagues has yet to be rubber-stamped by the FA.
The play-offs, so brutal once again for Harriers over the last couple of weeks, are about to reach their conclusion. In the North final, Harrogate will meet Brackley Town to see who will join Salford in the National League.
Some clubs are getting into transfer business early – former Harrier Russ Penn is back at York City, while Stockport County will need to replace Jimmy Ball after the talented midfielder was snapped up by Stevenage.
