2018/19 Northern League Premier Division champions Farsley Celtic enter National League North for the upcoming campaign, the first time Harriers have faced them in over a decade.
In fact, the two Conference encounters during the 2007/08 season are the only meetings in recent history - Russ Penn and James Constable getting their names on the scoresheet at Aggborough in the latter of the matches in January 2008, a 2-1 win - before The Celt Army’s relegation at the end of that season.
The club, unfortunately, quickly endured financial difficulties following their demotion, entering administration before being disbanded in March 2010 and reforming as Farsley AFC.
Re-entering the football pyramid at tier nine ahead of 2010/11, the club has gained three promotions in nine seasons - with a name change back to Farsley Celtic sandwiched in between them in 2015 - to now reach National League North.
The latter of those promotions being achieved via their 18/19 league title, finishing on 90 points - three ahead of second placed South Shields.
During the upcoming season, Harriers will first host the side from West Yorkshire on 12th October before travelling to Farsley’s ground, The Citadel, on 11th January.
