JIMMY SHAN insists Harriers players and management will continue to do whatever it takes to reverse the on-field fortunes of the team.
Harriers were beaten 2-0 at Boston United this past weekend as they continued to struggle for true consistency in National League North.
The Aggborough chief spoke of the 79 fans who made the trip to York Street for the game and assured that those both within the team and in charge of it are doing all they can.
Reflecting, he said: “We work proactively during the working week.
“Maybe at times there was a mentality to play back and square as opposed to playing through people and forwards.
“That was a disappointing aspect .
“We are very grateful for their support and we will continue to put the work in on the training ground to try and turn it around.”
Of the set-back against the Pilgrims, he added: “We played, for probably one of the first times in my time in charge, without any purpose of any conviction.
“When Boston caused us problems, it was down to us giving the ball away too cheaply.
“Our defensive balance behind the ball wasn’t good, wasn’t switched on and wasn’t concentrated and then, with their pace, power and endeavour to get in and around the final third, you find yourself backed up against the wall.”
