BOSS Russ Penn says he's ready to go head to head with one of the National League North's promotion challengers in Chorley on Saturday.
Harriers were without league action this past weekend after the game against Alfreton was postponed.
They'll get back to it with one of the toughest trips of the season, a journey to Victory Park to meet Jamie Vermiglio's Magpies - a venue that's rarely yielded much joy for the Reds in season's past.
Chorley have yet to get off the mark in League action this term, but have shown glimpses of their capabilities with excellent FA Cup victories over Gateshead and York City.
Penn was on hand to witness the latter and knows full well that they'll be among the contenders at the top end of the division come the end of the season.
With a new manager and a new squad in place since our regular meetings between 2017 and 2019, he's acutely aware of the threats they pose.
"We watched Chorley in the FA Cup against York, and they're a good team," he commented.
"It's a different team to how it has been over the last couple of years.
"There are some good footballers in there, Ollie Shenton who played here last year and a couple of lads who've played at the level, so we'll have to be on our mettle.
"They will be . They've got a good Manager for the level and a good squad, and it's a tough place to go to.
"But I'd hope they're saying the same about us as well every manager says the same thing: It's about how we prepare and how we're ready on that match day."
