Dick Garlick was one of Harriers’ most notable servants during the Edwardian period.
A versatile player who appeared in every position, including goalkeeper, Garlick was regarded primarily as a half-back and captained the club through several of its early successes. He led Harriers to the Worcestershire Senior Cup in 1904 and was part of the side that won the inaugural Keys Cup in 1904-05.
Garlick also served during the Boer War and enlisted again following the outbreak of the First World War. He lost his life on active service in the Middle East in 1916.
